Online Class & Mentoring
Background
In April 2020, NeoFusion launched this project, taking mentors to villages through online classes to change society. It is a medium through which to help underprivileged adolescents pursue their passions. We have worked with 3000+ such students and hope to empower more with dedication, vision and the help of our amazing team of volunteers, members, patrons and donors who make all this effort happen.
Goal
Our goal is to provide these classes so students can develop various skills to help them make a living out of their chosen fields. Those who are not getting access to such art forms are able to get training as they are living in interiors or they can not afford. Our certified mentors take classes for multiple activities, one of which is Taekwondo. To promote Taekwondo as a passion in our students, we offer them belt exams for higher levels.
Impact
During the lockdown, this project came into many children’s lives as a ray of hope, and one such example is Anjali, a girl who met with an accident when she was 3 years old, never got the opportunity to learn martial arts and dance, but is learning these skills with us now.
Another example is Pampa, a brilliant student and a passionate dancer who shifted to Assam from Jaipur because she could not complete her graduation. Her family wanted her to get married, but she convinced them and started her dance academy; because of the lack of guidance, she couldn’t continue it. The project helped her fill the gap. She is currently learning Taekwondo and will be able to fulfil her dream of teaching dance to children. NeoFusion posts all the videos of classes on YouTube to help students with lacking resources develop their skills.
